I have this song on my head. It's my sixth period class's fault. They love it, and they sang it at the top of their lungs before leaving Friday, and I can't get the image of all those happy, enthusiastic faces out of my mind.
I'll admit that I'm not really a fan of the verses of this song. To me, they don't match the chorus. To me, they're not particularly inspirational. The chorus, though, and the words "Let's set the world on fire. We can burn brighter than the sun!" are uplifting, and the way they sound like an anthem in the song makes me want to do something important and set the world on fire-- in a good way. It makes me want to do something great.

I don't REALLY enjoy this PARTICULAR song. Not to say that others can't enjoy it. It's just, ANNOYING to me. I hope you under stand not everyone likes everything YOU like.

I think this song is so popular right now because it's a uplifting song that isn't about money or well what most other popular songs now are about. Also it's just an uplifting song, it gives you that feeling that the world may not be that great but you should just make the best out of it while your still young, or not that young for that matter.
Also many people don't just like this song for the song they just like it because it makes you feel kinda joyful.
I think this song is so popular because it's a song you can sing to.Like some songs nowadays are good in all but they aren't good to sing to.Because people like song that are fun and enjoyable.
Tristen... you are so right. All songs talk about money or something else. This song is an inspiration to kids our age. It's just beating around the bush to be saying to live your life... you only have one after all.
I think the song means to show your true colors,and when you do it shows how bright you are. I personally love this song. Also you're welcome Mrs. Coleman (your 6th period)

i think this is a popular song because it tells "young" people that they can do things too. And it inspires people our age all the time...and this song is just catchy.:)
Last night I heard this song on my way to the airport to pick up my mom. When I did, i thought about this post. I listened to the words and I thought it sounded like the artist was trying to get young people to live their lives...but not too much. Who sings this song?
This song is popular right now because it is very catchy. I like the song myself, not my personal favorite but we all got our opinions, right?
I like this song. It seems to me that the narrator is saying that we shouldn't waste our lives on things that could be habituous. Not quite sure if that is a word, but in the beginning he says that there are people taking drugs. That is where I get that idea.
I think this song is Inspirational some what. :P It is saying that kids "Our age" can do what they feel like doing.(: Plus, It's catchy. ;D
This song brings out the fact that we are young and not only do we have a big effect on each others life ,but on what kind of music is popular. We all have are own taste :)
Agreed to living our lives to the fullest. That part's true. I often think about what I want to do with my life. Like, the future. We all want to figure out what we want to do with our lives after we're done withe school. I know, it's not something NORMAL kids think about. Well, thankfully, I'm not normal. In fact, no one is NORMAL. We are all different in our own ways. Just something else that we humans fail to realize. That being said, another thing to think about, don't gripe or groan about this but, are we really alone out there, in space? There aren't many songs like this like Tristen said. Most songs ARE about money or something else. This song is inspirational to me...and not to mention this song is really catchy. :) "We can burn brighter than the sun" Every time I hear that line, I feel like I can accomplish things even while I'm young. :))
I disagree with Emily. This song isn't annoying, it's actually a really popular song.

I agree that we should think about things like the future. And,think about what we want to do. I noticed that nobody commented on this yet so, I decide to. Come on guys and girls!
